It’s a beautiful place to live with lots of things for students to do. It’s a small city and everyone knows each other.

It’s very much a student city and caters well to students. The collegiate system of the university provides a great environment for students to get to know each other and have a unique university experience.

Rent is generally around £500-£600 a month

Rent is expensive wherever you live, it’s cheaper to live in Gilesgate but it’s much further away from the city.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
There’s not a lot of regional food but there’s a great range of restaurants and takeaways. I recommend La Spaghettata

The landmarks like the cathedral and the botanic gardens, restaurants like La Spaghettata and Fat Hippo, Circle Vintage. Wharton Park is a hidden secret!
