Penneys

Yes, in Spain this is called Primark but coming from Ireland it is called Penneys. I said that I would talk about where to shop in Dublin and that is what I am doing. I will not say anything about the quality of their products because I have bought things recently and so far so good, but I never know how long it will last. Everything is very cheap in this shop, I have T-shirts that were 2 euros. Yesterday I had to buy a duvet, a cover and an adjustable sheet for the mattress, all for 25 euros. In terms of clothes and home wear it is all settled. In case you need furniture or other things for your house, turn to IKEA (IKEA Dublin, St. Margaret's Road, Ballymun, Dublin 11). Another well known clothes shops for Spanish people in Dublin is Inditex. You can find these shops in the Shopping Centre Jervis on Henry street, close to the biggest Penneys in the centre of the city (there are two, the other is on O'Connell street).

More importantly, the food. I will begin talking about the sweetest deal of the month: 30 eggs for 4. 50 euros in a shop on Lower Camden Street, a permanent offer. You can also find other offers for food that is about to expire in small supermarkets. Moving on from these bargains, the most affordable supermarkets for a normal budget are Lidl, Aldi, Tesco and Dunnes Stores. Each one of these has its pros and its cons and its cheapest products. Tesco and Dunnes seem to have the biggest variety of products. It is best not to shop outside of these supermarkets because, for example, there are lots of Spar stores where a can of coke is 1 euro (? ). The chocolate muffins from the Londis chain are delicious and addictive, it costs 2 euros for 2. It is striking to me the fact that you are not even able to find breadcrumbs and cooking cream (which is a little strange anwyay because it is halfway between the cream for cooking and cream for strawberries).

If you want to buy souvenirs, there is a chain of shops called 'Carrolls' where you can find a variety of articles for gifts, clothes and even some food. However, there is a special Carrolls with offers in the first floor which is on Wicklow street, very close to Trinity College. In that Carrolls you can find sweatshirts for 8 euros, shirts for 2 euros and some other articles at lower prices. I bought a raincoat (which is necessary in Ireland) for 3 euros which was reduced from 10 euros.

In short, this is everything in terms of shopping.

We are going to party! Temple Bar is an excellent place to go out. The amount of live music that can be heard in the bars in that area is very interesting. Here the pints are 4 to 5 euros. Also, you can find bars with live music in others areas, like the bar 'The Village' (here is the link). Now the clubs! The clubs in Ireland close early. DTwo closes at 03:30. One of the best clubs is Dicey's, it is big, it has various vibes and it has a terrace with heaters where you will find a load of people. On Tuesdays if you fancy some beers and some drinks like cider but of different flavours and hamburgers (which are not small), go here. On Wednesdays I think that they sell them for 3 euros, on Thursdays for 3. 5 euros, Mondays for 2. 50 euros and weekends are more expensive. The other club that have been to is called DTwo (here is the link).
