What is it like to live in Dhaka? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Though I am living Dhaka, I do not like this city at all. It is a very densely populated city, and a lot of pollutions are going on. I would never recommend anyone to come to this city. The city is like hell.
What is the student lifestyle like in Dhaka?
It is so stressful but energetic
How much does it cost to live in Dhaka?
Depends on lifestyle. Living cost for the students living in a hostel is €70-€80. But if you are living a standard and easy student life then minimum of €150 will be needed for that.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Dhaka? Is there any advice you can give?
I would not say it is easy, but everybody finds their accommodation within the required time. Students from the same institution could be a better option for fining accommodation.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Foods are amazing in Dhaka Bangladesh. I have a few favourite foods which I can recommend anyone.
1. Kacci Biriani (Kolkata Kacci Ghor in Puran dhaka)
2. Beef Teheri (Mayer doa Biriani House in 60 feet Amtola)
3. Cotpoti/Fuchka (Love Road, opposite site of the stadium)
What places would you recommend visiting in Dhaka?
1. Old Dhaka to know the raw flavour of Dhaka life
2. Maowa Ferri Ghat to see the riverside and east fresh Ilish (best tasty fish in the world)
3. Dhaka University
Is it good to eat out in Dhaka? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Absolutely. I already mention some of my favorite spots.
I will recommend a few more here.
1. Citoi pitha with Vhorta, Singara,Piaju in front of Anondo Cinema Hall Farmgate
2. Spicy Chicken Wings in any Kudos branches
3. Khicuri at Ghoroa restaurants
4. Bobar Biriani in Bihari camp Mohammodpur
5. Chicken Chap/Beef Chap/Mogoj with luci at bihari camp Mohammodpur
Is the nightlife good in Dhaka? Where is good to go?
I would not recommend because of safety issues
What advice would you give future students heading to Dhaka?
Think about your safety first for choosing any friends. Do not miss the taste of our foods. And try to go to our beautiful Countryside.
