What is it like to live in Delhi? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Being the capital of India, it has a lot of potential. But it is also extremely unsafe for women and thus becomes a lot more difficult to live in.

Delhi university being the biggest, Delhi has a lot of other institutions too. Student areas (North Campus, South Campus) are better suited to the needs of students with markets nearby.
How much does it cost to live in Delhi?
While all budget options are available through out the city, to live in the good, safer areas, nearer to colleges etc will put you back by at least INR 25,000-30,000 per month (inclusive of rent, utilities, food, groceries, travel etc)
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Delhi? Is there any advice you can give?
Around the time when session starts, accommodation might be difficult to find. Have to rely on brokers etc since market is mostly unorganised.

All cuisines are easily available. North Indian and chinese cuisines being the most famous.

Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, Delhi Haat

Connaught place has lot of great eateries

Generally avoid stepping out alone or just a couple of girls. Better to be in a large mixed group or prefer having a house party. Even clubs in 5/7 Star hotels get shady crowds

Be safe and don't take any risks. Its a wonderful city if you have a good place to live and great friends.
