What is it like to live in Dehra Dun? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

This is a cozy happy place to live in.I would definitely recommend anybody and everybody to at least once live here. The city has got warm happy content people.

What is the student lifestyle like in Dehra Dun?

This place has got a lot of prestigious schools and colleges providing students a wonderful vibrant atmosphere to live in.

How much does it cost to live in Dehra Dun?

Well if I have to put it in numbers then it would cost 10000 rupees to cover up your accommodation and food.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Dehra Dun? Is there any advice you can give?

Not really. You could find hostels or individual flats for accommodation. 'Jakhan' is a nice student area. It would be easy to find accommodation in that area.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Oh, the food is toothsome. Tibetan food rules in this city. One could try the patent bun-tikki.

What places would you recommend visiting in Dehra Dun?

One can visit a lot of places in Dehradun. Forest Research Institute (FRI), old rajpur, some monasteries, one could hike up to Mussoorie (a small cozy hill station) and many more.

Is it good to eat out in Dehra Dun? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Definitely. I love to eat chicken in Imam Ullah building. That place might look a bit congested but the flavors are absolutely toothsome.Other than that there are a lot of cafes in the old rajpur area which has its own unique Italian flavors.Tibetan food of course is my favorite hence id rec comment Kalsang restaurant.

Is the nightlife good in Dehra Dun? Where is good to go?

Well this is a quiet city so not much of a night life. The youth of course enjoys in their own way.

What advice would you give future students heading to Dehra Dun?

Well just keep your expectations zero and explore this place with whole new perspective.
