What is it like to live in Czestochowa? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Czestochowa is not a big city and because of Jasna Góra we are considered as very religious people who do nothing but pray and sit in church. But no... it's a lie. We like to party and we do it. We are no different from other people.

What is the student lifestyle like in Czestochowa?

Everything happens in dorms and around.

How much does it cost to live in Czestochowa?

Because we don't have euro, but złoty (1eur = 4, 2... zł), nothing should be expensive for you.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Czestochowa? Is there any advice you can give?

It's quite easy, there's a lot of ads everywhere, and if you choose to live near university you should try dormitory. It's the cheapest way and you'd be in the center where everything happens. As a foreigner you should get it without any problems, I guess (that's because you live the furthest and you have priority in getting a room).

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

It depends on the place where you eat, of course, but mostly food is edible! We have few places where you can find our national dishes and I think every foreigner should try them for they are pretty awesome. For example, dumplings. I'm not sure if its good name for that, but in Polish it means "pierogi "- if you find this written somewhere - go there.

What places would you recommend visiting in Czestochowa?

There's nothing special in here, but while you're in Poland you should try visiting other cities like Kraków and you can go there through Jura Krakowsko-Częstochowska. Also our mountains on the south of the country, etc.

Is it good to eat out in Czestochowa? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

There's many restaurants where you can eat beautiful dinner and much more small spots where you can find crisps and other fast food, few pizzerias, etc.

Near dormitories are different kinds of places where you can get students discount.

Is the nightlife good in Czestochowa? Where is good to go?

There's a few night clubs, one of them is next to dorms and is very famous among students for its "Thursday's free entry".
