Experience in Cuenca, Spain by Roberto
What do you think about living in Cuenca? Do you recommend it? What is it like?
It's like a big town. We all know each other, at least by sight. It's quite calm and everything is close. You don't need to use public transport. I'd recommend it to live in if you like both quietness and the routine, but if you prefer doing new and different things every weekend, it's not a place for you.
How is the student atmosphere in Cuenca?
Very good. Everyone goes to the same places and there are always people going out to party.
How much does it cost to live in Cuenca?
Not so much. In general, everything is quite cheap.
What about national food? What are your favourite dishes?
Very good. It is one of the best things of the city.
What places do you recommend to visit in Cuenca?
Touristically speaking, the old quarter mainly and 'La Calle' if we talk about places to go out.
What places do you recommend to go out in Cuenca?
There are only a few. 'La Calle' is a street with many bars with different atmospheres, and 'Divinna Disco' is the disco par excellence of Cuenca... it's rubbish though. There's another one on the other side of Cuenca opening on a very few occasions. It doesn't usually open, except for exceptional parties, because it's very big.
