What is it like to live in Corpus Christi? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Corpus Christi is a place where you have to make your own fun. However, you must use a car to get around. People that live there are normally bad drivers so your life is in danger if you decide to walk or use a bike. Everything is very spread out and public transportation is bad. There is no train system and the bus system is mediocre.

What is the student lifestyle like in Corpus Christi?

I went to school in Corpus Christi until I was 18. There isn't much to do for students aside from going to class, drinking, and going to the beach.

It's pretty cheap compared to other parts of the state.

No, it shouldn't be difficult. The only time it may be difficult to get accommodation is if there is an oil boom.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Mexican food and seafood is very good. I would say that it is the best on the Texas coast. I really enjoy enchiladas verdes and grilled Mahi Mahi.

Water Street Seafood Co, The Republic of Texas, and Yardarm. For Mexican food, I would suggest Hi-Ho and La Playa.

Is the nightlife good in Corpus Christi? Where is good to go?

It's no Austin or Dallas but it can be fun depending on your taste. For college kids, I would suggest the U Bar, The Bay, and Recess.

What advice would you give future students heading to Corpus Christi?

Life is slow there so if you like the outdoors and being in the heat, it's a good place for you. The fishing is also good there.
