One day, we took a bus to the western coast of Ireland: Cork and Cobh were our destinations. Near the Atlantic Ocean, the weather was often really harsh (windy and rainy) ... but we had sites to see, so off we went!

Walking up steep streets, we saw the fishermen's houses, neatly built in rows ... so symmetrical!

The same view, even more colourful, accompanied us walking up to the Cathedral (these houses remind me of Cinque Terre in Italy, but they are more organised in a row and a bit less colourful ... must be the weather).

From the harbour of Cobh, where the Titanic docked one last time in 1912, you could see the Cathedral looming ... another beautiful Gothic building!

The flower-like ornaments were really special and finely crafted ... they gave the Cathedral a fantastical design!

Small relief figures of  Jesus and his disciples and Saint Colman (a local patron) are placed above the entrance. From inside, the Church is more colourful - promise!

Lastly, I recommend the Titanic museum and a museum of miniature soldiers ...

And off we went on our bus through green landscapes to discover the next places ...
