The introduction

Hello everyone, I hope, that you are all doing just fine!

Now I want to tell you about my great decision of getting a discount card while being in Copenhagen, which took me for a while to decide to buy, however, I bought it and it was reallly worth it, I guess.

Well, as you know, living in Denmark is a pretty expensive thing and everyone admits that, however, people still want to visit it and live there for  a while, because the rate of living is so high there, that everyone seems really happy. When being in Copenhagen on this course in internal medicine on of our trainers said, that they called Copenhagen a happy city, because the people living there are always happy . Well, I don't kow about that, however, I met many people there, who were pretty much happy. Though, I guess, there were not many Danes left in Copenhagen at that time, because it was mid summer and people were on vacations in Spain or in some countries, where it's sunny and hot. It was like an exchange, because the spanish people were in Copenhagen and I could hear lots of them speaking spanish.

Anyways, if you like museums or things like that and visiting some cultural and famous places, you will have to spend so much money, that you will be left with nothing at the end of your journey. So that, it is very important for the travellers travelling in Copenhagen or in any other city to just know what exactly they should do not to spend any extra money. You know, there are not museums, that cost less than 20 Euros, I guess, and it's really a great amount of money, if you want to visit many museums or places like that, and there are many places like that in cities like Copenhagen. And, besides, you are visiting it for the first time and you don't really know, when you will come back there, so that you want to see everything or whatever you can there.

Discount  Cards

Well, I searched for some solutions to my problem, which was not to pay too much in the museums while seeing and visiting many of them. So that, I went to Google and searched for the discount card in Copenhagen. There were some options about the iscount cards in Copenhagen and some of them offered juts free transportation throughout the city and others offered museums and transportation and so on and so forth and it was a pretty tough choice to make and choose between them, because, if you thought about it, then it was clear, that none of them were really comfortable with me in that case. However, I still wanted to visit some museumsand I didn't want to spend so muh  money on just visiting some of them, so that I had to choose a discount card and plan visits to museums somehow.

My Copenhagen card

There was this one card called Copenhagen Card, which was a good option for my plans. It was an offer of free transportation throughout the Copenhagen along with the surroundings and it offered visitig more than 60 museums and famous places free of charge and you could also have some discounts in cafes and restaurants and on boat trips, so that it was a really good card, if you want to know the truth. The only thing was, that it was only for some hours. You could buy a 24-hour card, or 72-hour, or 120-hour card and it didn't cost cheap. In fact, that 120-hour card cost 120 Euros, so that it was not really cheap. And , besides, it was not that easy to visit many places and museums in such short amount of time, because many of them were open at 10 a.m. and closed at 5 p.m. and it's not just to rush into the museum and rush out, you need plenty of time to see it and aknowledge, what there is inside of that place. That was what I was thiinking about while deciding, whether buy the Copenhagen card or not. I reallly thought about it for a long time, however, I finally decided to buy one of those cards.

I'm sure, that you will agree with me, that 3 days is not enough to visit many mumseums and neither is five, especially when your clock is ticking and even the nights are included in your clock, so that it means, that you don't reallly use that amount of time, that is on your card, because nothing is really open at night, of course, especiallly in Copenhagen.

Anyways, after too much thinking, I still decided to buy this 120-hour Copenhagen card. And I was going to buy it through the Internet, however, then I changed my mind and decided to search for the locations, where they sold those cards and go to one of them and buy the card there, so that I would just have the card handed over to me after paying for it.

So, when I searched for some places, there was this one in Frederiksberg, which was just nearby my acommodation and it was a pretty good place to visit until I went home from the lectures and it was not closed until at least 8 p.m. and it was just a perfect time for a visit, because I needed some time to get to Frederiksberg from Blegdamsvej, where our university building was and I would walk from there for about at least half an hour or even more and that's why I wanted a place, where the working hours were not until 5 p.m. or something like that. So , I went to this Frederiksberg metro station, where there was this large shopping center of Frederiksberg and there were plenty of shops and stores inside and there was this information desk thing, where there was this young lady and she had all those brochures of Copenhagen around. I asked her about the Copenhagen card and I wondered how I would use it and stuff like that and I wanted to know every little detail about it, because I was going to pay 120 Euros for that and it was not some small amount of money, of course, andthat's why I wanted to know everything about it.

Well, this girl told me, that my card would start ticking the clock from my first use of it and then , of course, I had to think of when was the right time to use this card, because I didn't want to spend much time doing nothing, I mean, the nights were included, too, of course, and I couldn't do anything at night, so that I tried to have as many opportunities for my Copenhagen Card as I could. And I decided , that it was best to start using it the other day, because it was already the evening and almost nothing was open at that time. To be honest , I didn't really want to do anything at that time, either, because iI was pretty tired and I just wanted to go home and get some rest, and, besides, it was that day when our lectures ended and we wanted to do something together and not leave the trainings' thing like that.

Buying that card was a pretty smart idea, that i had during my visit to Denmark, because that way I could do and see so many things without any obstacles or things like that, though it was just for those 120 hours. It was still great, I must say and I just couldn't get enough of it. and, also, it was great, that I didn't have to start the clock from the minute, that I bought the card, but it would start ticking after I had used it for the first time. And I had decided , that it would be the next day, because some of the students were going to go to the Rosenborg Castlein Copenhagen the other day and I would use my Copenhagen Card there for the first time.

To tell you the truth , I could get inside almost in every museum and important place without any charge in Copenhagen with my Copenhagen Card. of course, it was not possible to visit all of them in those 5 days, however, it was still managable to visit lots of them and enjoy those places and that's what I was going to do. So, if you are ever in Copenhagen and there's still that Copenhagen card available, you should definitely buy it and don't just buy a 72-hour card, buy the 120-hour Copenhagen card, because you can not really see anything in just 3 days. Well, if you just have a few museums or places to visit, which you are interested in, then of course, you can buy the 72-hour card, however, if you are just visiting and you want to see the places there, you should buy that 120-hour Copnehagen card and enjoy your visit in Copenhagen.

You should know, that there are lots of places to buy that Copenhagen card in Copenhagen, most of them were in some supermarkets and I didn't think, that I could trust them to buy the Copenhagen Card there, and, besides, I didn't know how to ask for the Copenhagen Card and that's why I preferred buying the copenhagen card in the large shopping center in Frederiksberg.
