KölnTriangel Panorama

It is more than time that I finally share a place in the beautiful Cologne with you, a city that has become my adoptive home in the last three years.

After living so long in Cologne I can tell you that it has become one of my favorite cities, that has so many great places to offer and is a wonderful place to spent your student years.

Also it has to me one of the greatest panoramic views, that can (in my opinion) even easily compete with famous european skylines like Paris, Barcelona or London. My favorite place to enjoy this panoramic view is the KölnTriangelPanorama.

It is on a high building on the opposite side of the river Rhine, that you can easily reach from the Cologne Cathedral if you walk over the famous Hohenzoller Bridge. You will directly see signs with the writing "Panorama", once you reached the other side of the Rhine. To get to the panoramic platform you need to pay a 2, 50€ entrance, which is definitely worth though! An elevator takes you up to the 29th floor from where you get to enjoy an absolutely unique view on Cologne.

Looking towards the city you will see the stunning Cologne Cathedral from a perfect angle. To be true: that incredible view on Cologne with the Rhine, the Hohenzoller Bridge, the television tower of Ehrenfeld and the Cologne Cathedral still makes my heart bounce, even after three years in this wonderful city!

On the platform of the tower you can go all around the building and see not only Cologne but also the whole surrounding area. On the glass walls of the lookout is always written what you can see in front of you, which building or area, so even as a "local" there are still many things to discover.

A really nice time to go on the tower is definitely also the sunset. When the sun is setting behind the city it gives you an incredibly beautiful view. Also the tower is open until 10 o'clock PM, so you can enjoy at most times of the year the whole sun set from up there.
