I see Spanish is the only erasmus-students-language on this forum :D But guys! Let's talk in Italian, German, Polish or even English! ;-)

Spaniards make up the majority of Erasmus students in Cologne! That being said, there are plenty of Poles here too, a real Polska Paczka!
Cologne is an amazing Erasmus city, you'll love it!

I'm afraid I can only speak english and Irish language, and I dont think Irish will be of much use to me in Germany! haha I want to try and learn some German before March next year! But most people can speak English right?

Hello! Can anyone recommend which Halls of Residence to chose? There're so many! :)

You probably haven't got much choice if you're dealing with the Studentenwerk, there's very high demand for places and near the Uni - Lindenthal/Sulz are almost impossible to get. Realistically you'd be lucky to get a place anywhere, there have been so many people "homeless" here for the first few weeks. The Studentendorf in Efferen has amazing atmosphere and is where most Erasmus students end up! I'd advise picking whatever type of room you like the most somewhere like Efferen or the acommodation in Rodenkirchen/Deutz because that makes you much more likely to get an offer.
