Why did you choose to go to Cologne, Germany?

I wanted to improve my German skills, I liked the country and I wanted to experience a life here.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

1 year. At first I chose to stay a semester, but I have now prolonged my stay. You receive 250€ monthly.

What is the student lifestyle like in Cologne?

Here, the life is non-stop. You can enjoy a plan every day, there is always something to do, some place to visit in the nearby.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Cologne to other students?

Sure! I study medicine and this degree requires studying in every country, however, I feel less stressed and even though the language is difficult, you can mange to have fun and study at the same time.

I would not recommend to come here without any knowledge of German.

What is the food like?

I do not like German food but there are plenty of supermarkets and all types of restaurants.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Cologne?

No.

How much does it cost to live in Cologne?

400€/month.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
