Why did you choose to go to Cologne, Germany?

I wanted to learn German, and Cologne was one of the cities that was part of the CEMS program.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I don't have scholarship.

What is the student lifestyle like in Cologne?

Students love to party, and they are always looking for an excuse to drink Kolsch.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Cologne to other students?

If you want a laid back city with lots of places to party, Cologne is the one.

What is the food like?

You can find every kind of food here. Curiously, not much of "German" food.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Cologne?

Yes. Because Cologne is a student city, people are always looking for accommodation. I started looking 6 months before coming to Cologne, but I still manage to find something a week after arriving.

How much does it cost to live in Cologne?

It depends a lot on how much are you paying for rent, but I would say that between 600 and 800 euros a month.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

In general you can manage everything in English, but the University also has german courses.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Cologne from your city?

I come from Chile, in South America, so the plane was the only option.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Cologne?

Red cat lounge, or Radio Sabor once per month.
