Why did you choose to go to Ciudad Real, Spain?

For an internship at IREC, an important institute for research about wild animals (I'm a veterinarian).

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I stayed 4 months, I received 1000 euros.

What is the student lifestyle like in Ciudad Real?

It's very charming: full of entertainment, parties, cultural events. But it's not a hectic or a busy city.

It's perfect for students, because they can explore it on foot and there are a lot of shops and markets in every corner of Ciudad Real!

Would you recommend the city and the University of Ciudad Real to other students?

Yes, of course!

What is the food like?

I love food of Ciudad Real, above all Tapas, paella, tortillas de patatas. I love the exotic restaurants of the city, too!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Ciudad Real?

I found my accomodation before departing, through Facebook page ESN UCLM Ciudad Real.

How much does it cost to live in Ciudad Real?

In my opinion it's a cheap city. The cost of my accomodation was about 125 euros per month.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, I attended a course of spanish Language at University. I paid about 50 euros. It was very helpful.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Ciudad Real from your city?

The airplane!

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Ciudad Real?

I like El sultan de Istanbul and Doña Tapa. I don't like the italian restaurants (because I'm Italian and so I'm finicky).
