What is it like to live in Chennai? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Chennai is the best place where you could see the mix of rush city life and a calm coast life.I would recommend chennai in which there are lots of temples with best architecture and Mahabalipuram, an UNESCO heritage which reveals best of cave temples and the best foods like rice cake, rice pancakes etc...
What is the student lifestyle like in Chennai?
It is very good because you can both study as well as party (mostly in ECR). It is one of top metropolitan cities in India which has a big blend of different cultures and best place for working in automobiles sector since it is called the Detroit of South Asia.
How much does it cost to live in Chennai?
Around 150-200€.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Chennai? Is there any advice you can give?
It is very easy to get accommodation in chennai and mostly all university has residences to stay with almost for 90% of people enrolled in uni.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Chennai is also famous for its foods and my favourite one is Idly(rice cake) with sambar(dal soup) and Chicken Briyani (mix of rice, chicken and spices)
What places would you recommend visiting in Chennai?
Marina beach(second largest beach in the world), St george fort, San thome Cathedral, Kapaleeshwar Temple, Mahabalipuram, Drive in ECR ( East Coast Road).
Is it good to eat out in Chennai? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
It is good to eat out and there are lots of street vendors. Best hotels to eat are A2B( Adayar Anandha Bhavan), Chettinad Restaurant, Murugan Idly, Thallapkattu, Anjappar, Taj Connemara, Barbeque Nation, Cream and fudge.
Is the nightlife good in Chennai? Where is good to go?
It is best and the city is working all night. Best party places are the clubs in East Coast Road.
What advice would you give future students heading to Chennai?
Enjoy and dont worry about anything beacuse the city has all its best from food to healthcare( top most health care in the world) and a very helping tendency people. Welcome to my city!!!!!
