How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I went here for one year and then I stayed until now (another two years). My scholarship was low but France is the best place to come for Erasmus because there is a lot of social help for everybody who is studying and living here.

What is the student lifestyle like in Chambery?

It is really good because it's the first university in France with so many international exchanges so you meet the foreigners all the time and the atmosphere is various, there is a lot of Erasmus parties. Although there is not so much diversity to go out in the night, it's small city so sooner than later you know all the pubs and clubs. But with great people it's really good as well. And Lyon and Grenoble are one hour way from here so it's ok as well.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Chambery to other students?

Of course! I would recommend it with all my heart!

What is the food like?

Too delicous... Put on weight here unfortunately! But the cheese and the bread and everything is so good!

It was University who proposed me my accommodation. It was quite well organised with the problems at arrival but it's more or less cheap and comfortable appartements. I recommend Residence du Chaney.

How much does it cost to live in Chambery?

With all and don't bothering much about cost it's max 500 euros (with apartment, food, parties and other stuff), because each student get from 50 to 200 euros to your apartment depending on your rent. So that everybody pays about 150-200 for apartment.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, the language courses are available but it's obligatory to pass a test so don't miss this test and come for the good date at university. Language and cultural classes are really good and interesting!

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Chambery from your city?

From Poland the easiest way is to take a bus because it's direct but there are some flights from Milano which are really cheap to Poland and from Grenoble in the winter.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Chambery?
