České Budějovice
From the point of view of an Erasmus city is attractive both day and night. Make it clear that the city is cheap so you can do all sorts of things without spending too much money.
Day
By day the most attractive part is around the square, where there are many bars, restaurants and cafés. My favorite restaurant is the Budvarka because they put good food and cheap also put great beer steins. One of the cafés that I like is the Café Plaza.
There are two malls YGY and Mercury. Mercury is where we usually go shopping because it is very easy to go from VSTE and there are eateries and shops, sports, electronics... also has a bowling. YGY is a bigger mall is more focused on shopping and there is everything.
You can also go watch hockey on Wednesday and there is a park with a river passing the main square, is the perfect place to take a walk or go jogging. In this park is the pool, is very cheap and usually have discounts depending on the day.
Night
At night we usually make two types of plans; or drink something at the residence and then go to a nightclub or stay in the center, dine there, then we're going to a pub and we ended up in the disco.
Clubs here are two Paradox and Maxim. At first we went to Paradox because we were not allowed to enter Maxim because in the clubs do not like foreigners and when there is a big party like Halloween not let us in. We were not going to Maxim over a month, now we can go smoothly. Both have good parties, the best days are Wednesdays when students go out; this is the day that most people there and usually speak English. Friday there are also people but students who are not of Ceske go Thursday and Friday to their homes so there is more people from the city of all ages. Saturday is like Friday though it has fewer people.
Other places here are Sklep Beseda and Broukarna where you can have a drink and dance. To Sklep Beseda we usually go when there is a party like the Student Party or PaintGlow, these parties are often filled with people and I enjoy much better than any day in the disco. Broukarna is for a quieter plan because it is smaller and more stylish pub but also dance, good for Tuesdays.
There are several pubs but we usually go to B26 or Fine music club for a drink before leaving. The B26 is the one I like, it has good music and there are many drinks at a good price. There is also a bar called Singer with good drinks and cheaper than in pubs, is also very good option before going clubbing.
