I don't live there but it's pretty boring.

Students don't live in Cergy so we don't stay there on weekends but it's pretty cheap. You have to find the right neighbourhood because it can be dangerous (cergy le haut).

Not much.

Same as everywhere in France.

M'yeah... there's a mall where you can buy different types of food (Les 3 fontaines).

No.

What advice would you give future students heading to Cergy-Pontoise?

There's not a lot to do on weekends but there are good public transports which lead you directly to Paris' great places.
