What is it like to live in Cardiff? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Although it is not the epicentre of genuine Welsh culture, Cardiff remains a bustling homage to some of Wales' proudest features. Loaded with museums, castles and sepulchres, Cardiff offers some unique exploration for students interested in history. in addition, there is no city on earth that becomes as alive as Cardiff when Wales play rugby, it becomes a pilgrimage site for the welsh rugby fans and beer lovers, replete with music, colours and tomfoolery - a sight not to be missed.

What is the student lifestyle like in Cardiff?

Cardiff student lifestyle is very social; in keeping with welsh tradition it involves a lot of drinking and spending time with other students consistently around the city.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food you can obtain depends on the occasion; if it is early morning on a night out, the infamous 'chippy alley' with its plethora of takeaways will attempt to subdue your subsequent hangover.
If you want daytime food, Cardiff has myriad 'gastropubs' complete with traditional pub foods like pie and chips or bangers (sausage) and mash (mashed potatoes). it is not always healthy but it is always tasty.

What places would you recommend visiting in Cardiff?

The obvious recommendation is the Principality Stadium when Wales play rugby - it is an experience like no other. other recommendations include the motorpoint arena for shows, techniquest, the natural history museum, cardiff castle and Castle coch.

Is it good to eat out in Cardiff? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It is very nice to eat out in Cardiff bay, here there are a number or italian, spanish, portuguese, mexican and british restaurants with a seaview - a very beautiful spot indeed.

Is the nightlife good in Cardiff? Where is good to go?

Cardiff boasts an impressive nightlife scene, with even the university's students union becoming a massive attraction for a night out. the main street for night clubs is st mary's street; but it is not restricted to this. you will not struggle to find nightlife in this city.

What advice would you give future students heading to Cardiff?

Socialise! Wales benefits from having a very social culture and the only way to truly experience welsh culture is to immerse yourself! Sports, beer and song are integral parts of the welsh framework and these are so commonplace in Cardiff that they may find you
