What is it like to live in Cape Town? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Living in Cape Town is pretty nice. It's a beautiful city with beautiful beaches, great environment.

The city is nice. Lots to do, different places to see. You will enjoy it.

How much does it cost to live in Cape Town?

Cape Town is a bit expensive compared to other parts of South Africa seeing as it's a big tourist attraction.

Monthly expenses for a single person is around R7000. 00.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Cape Town? Is there any advice you can give?

It's not to difficult to find accommodation, there's a few sites you can go on to look.

Advice: maybe if you know a South African you can ask them to help you.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food here is very good. Different cuisines so there is a variety. Some of the local food is pretty good too..

My favorite dishes are chicken curry, spicy quesadillas, Nachos, Pizza, Pasta and Steak with pepper sauce.

What places would you recommend visiting in Cape Town?

Place you should see is:

  • Table mountain
  • Cape Point (Cape of Good Hope)
  • Boulders beach
  • Clifton beach
  • Bo-kaap
  • Kirstenbosch botanical garden
  • Lion's Head

Is it good to eat out in Cape Town? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes, it's nice to go out to eat, there's different places to go.

I normally go to Subway, Kauai, Spur, Reubens restaurant at The One and Only hotel, Panarottis, Cubaña.

Is the nightlife good in Cape Town? Where is good to go?

Night life is good always something happening.

I'm not to sure. Many people say going to Long street is a good place to go to. And we have some sunset concerts at Kirstenbosch botanical gardens on some days.

What advice would you give future students heading to Cape Town?

Make as many new mates as you can, they can show you something pretty cool places to go. Just enjoy Cape Town, it's very beautiful and you'll love it.
