Pablo's Erasmus Experience in Canterbury, United Kingdom
Why did you choose to go to Canterbury, United Kingdom?
For its campus, it's amazing, you won't want to leave. It's also close to London (50 minutes by train, 1:30 by bus).

How is the student atmosphere in Canterbury?
It's great, nothing like Spanish universities. The campus is at the very top of a hill from which you can see the whole of Canterbury. On campus, there are pubs, nightclubs, parties every day, supermarkets...

Would you recommend the city and the University to other students?
Yes, without a doubt.
How is the local food?
English food isn't really that renowned, but actually you can buy anything in the supermarket, there's more variety there than in Spanish supermarkets.
Was it hard to find accommodation in Canterbury?
Finding accommodation is really easy, you just go onto the University website and you'll find all the information. Pretty much everyone lives in student accommodation, and 90% of international students live in Parkwood (on campus).

How much does it cost to live in Canterbury?
Accommodation costs around £4500/5000 for the entire year... much cheaper than in London.
How was the language aspect? Did you sign up for any courses at the University?
I didn't do any courses. You can improve your level of English as soon as you arrive just by communicating with people and going to class.
What is the most economic way to get to Canterbury?
Getting a flight to London, then a bus from London Victoria station or if you're a group of three/four people then you can get a taxi directly from the airport to Canterbury (reserve beforehand).

Where would you recommend going out in Canterbury?
The Venue, the nightclub on campus is the best place without a doubt. Also, there are more nightclubs in the town called The Cuban or Club Chemistry.

Wetherspoons without a doubt: it's cheap, good quality food and it's also a typical English pub.
