I told you about Tesco some blogs ago, and now I want to tell you about my Tesco experience, which happened once. Now that I remember it, every time I start to laugh, but at that time it was not funny at all, if you ask me.

One tip I want to share with you is, that, remember guys, always check supermarkets’ open hours! Because what I’m about to tell you will shock you! Well, maybe it won’t shock you directly, but it will leave you somehow kind of shocked. At least we were shocked at that moment.

So, me and some other guys went to Tesco one day, and we just had some fun, took some pictures, had a look at some new items and checked them out. We wandered around for hours, I think, because we had all the time on our hands, and we didn't even think to buy something to eat, as we weren't hungry then.

Then came the time for the open hours to end and the staff there - who already knew us, told us that it was closing time and to "finish your whiskey or beer" (well, they didn't really tell us that exact phrase, it is just from a song that I just remembered, you know the one that Semisonic plays that is called the "Closing Time" and it's a pretty good song, if you ask me. You should really check our out! I'm pretty sure I don't remember where I first listened to it, bet it would be in some kind of movie or TV series, because I watch those a lot! Anyway, just check this song out and, I think, you will like it).

So, we got out of the grocery store and stood outside for a while. And, as you may have already guessed by now, there couldn't have been just one branch of this grocery store in the entire city of Cambridge, and so, you are totally right! We knew there were some of them in the city located in different places, and one of them was somewhere in the northern part of the city and, to be honest, it was pretty far from our current location.

But we were youngsters, it was late, and we hadn't eaten for a while (I think, we just had lunch at school and that was pretty much it) we felt hungry and wanted to buy some snacks. And then, some "genius" (if you're reading this, please, don't kill me) said, that he knew the other Tesco, the one on the other end of the city, was working until 11 o'clock or something, and so we believed him. How could we not? He told us he was sure and when someone says, that they are sure of something, why wouldn't you believe them? There is just no reason not to believe.

We started walking, we passed our neighborhoods, we went on High Street, then I think it was Mill Road or something, well, in short, that was the direction towards the other Tesco, where we wanted to get so desperately. It was like walking in a desert.

At least, that was the feeling I got at that time walking endlessly through those dimly lit streets of Cambridge, looking at all those architectural masterpieces, some built centuries ago, and sometimes I would just forget, that I was hungry and just gazed at them and wondered, how could humans be so creative and do those kinds of things! It's just amazing. And when I think about how many other great things the humanity has done, I just feel proud or excited or something like that. It's like a mixture of feelings.

So, while walking and doing some crazy things at the same time, we had the chance to see many sites that we hadn't seen before. There were beautiful graffiti on the walls and on the rooftops of buildings, stores and houses. And, at last, there it was, the Tesco that we all wanted to see! What a relief to finally get there!

It was kind of like we didn't even believe, that after all that walking we finally reached our destination and that there really was a grocery store, and, what's more, a Tesco! So, our friend had been right all the way!

"Great success", as Borat would say. For those of you who don't know who Borat is, you should watch the movie. It's hilarious.

Anyways, with all the tiredness falling behind, we rushed to the doors of the grocery store, but what we were about to see was more frustrating than those moments in horror movies, when a victim thinks she's gotten away from the murderer, but in fact he is behind and when she turns around and sees him she tries to run and escape, in vain!

So, we even have some videos about our trip from Tesco to Tesco and how everything turned out badly, well, I mean that the Tesco was closed and we remained hungry and tired. It was late at night and we had a long way back home, so we just wanted to lie there and sleep.

Our friend was really hungry and tired, we were not as tired and hungry as he was. In fact, he was the one who suggested going to that Tesco and told us that he knew that it was open during the night.

Of course, he was very upset about the whole situation because he knew his idea didn't work and he was wrong. That was very frustrating and we all were very disappointed, if you want to know the truth.
