What is it like to live in Bydgoszcz? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I live in Bydgoszcz, is a very nice city. The city centre is still rebuild. There is nice river, venice of Bydgoszcz and parks. There is beautiful landscape with Opera. The communication and transport is in well condition also at night. At the moment in Bydgoszcz are building 2 supermarkets with shops centre. Also in the city centre on Bydgoszcz are 2 another big malls with shops inside, name is Galeria Pomorska and Focus Mall, there you can find everything you need: clothes, food, jewellery, shoes, mobiles, etc.

What is the student lifestyle like in Bydgoszcz?

It's full of pubs, clubs, bars. In Myślęcinek at summer are organised very much parties, and in winter there is fake snow on the little mountains and people can use snowboard. On the old town square in winter there is big ice ring and we skiing.

How much does it cost to live in Bydgoszcz?

Live in Bydgoszcz is this: monthly bus ticket for all daily number of buses costs 44 zł for students (11 euro), ticket for students costs not as much as for adults. The name for students ticket is ''ulgowy''. Every tickets for students are low costs than for adults. The price of flat with good condition and good area costs approx. 300 euro. I don't know how much costs apartaments cost near the university. However here are very much advertisement that people want to share the flat. For food student can spend 400 zł for 1 month or little more, so is aprox 100 euro.

For example prices in the shop are: 1 bottle of water 1 l costs 2, 50 zł, yoghurt 1 zł, milk 2, 50zł, bread 2, 50zł, tooth paste 8zł, prices of pizza in the pizzeria starts from 25 zł, coffe 6 zł

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Bydgoszcz? Is there any advice you can give?

Isn't very hard to find accommodation. Here there are are much websites about it. Also inside university there are advertiements. How to find? you can try in this website: www.olx.pl or try to ask agency for example Rodzko, Nord House, Rezydent

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

There are nice restaurants, for example: Pizza Hut in the Focus Mall, Nord Fish, Dagrasso pizzeria, the best is Sowa in Mostowa street next to Old Town Square. Also here is Mc Donald and KFC in Galeria Pomorska.

What places would you recommend visiting in Bydgoszcz?

Opera and area near Mickiewicza street. Good place with river is near Łuczniczka. Myślęcinek is also good for reccommend.

Is it good to eat out in Bydgoszcz? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

As i said before, here there are a lot of restaurants and pizzerias, inside Galeria Pomorska, Tesco, Focus Mall, Auchan there are bars and restaurants and fast foods KFC, Mc Donald, Burger King etc. Good restaurant is Sowa and Pizza Hut. Sowa next to Mostowa street and Pizza Hut inside Focus Mall.

Is the nightlife good in Bydgoszcz? Where is good to go?

Yes, is always good experience to know new places and cities.

What advice would you give future students heading to Bydgoszcz?

Don't go for a walk in area near the train station when is dark or at night.
