Why did you choose to go to Budapest, Hungary?

To be somewhere away from home, so that I can experience living on my own and experience new things.

What is the food like?

Some places are amazing, most fastfood places cost too much (quality wise) compared to the restaurants you find on tripadvisor.

How much does it cost to live in Budapest?

Around 900-1100 euros a month including rent, insurance, tuition, transportation, groceries, going out, gym, etc.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

No.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Budapest from your city?

Airplane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Budapest?

Otkert, Pivo&Bar, BRKLYN, Elatohaz.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Budapest?

Use tripadvisor, there are plenty.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Buda castle, margrit sziget island, Terror House, Heroes square (and the park there)

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Budapest in the future?

Don't forget your sunglasses, it can get really sunny here.
