What is it like to live in Budapest? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

The city is located in two areas: Buda has got hills andPest is plain. The Danube separates them from each other. It's so beautiful.
There are so much historical attractions in the city, many of them is UNESCO World Heritage Place.

What is the student lifestyle like in Budapest?

Many coffee shops, park and program are waiting for students, in fridays and saturdays there are concerts, shows and parties in many places.

How much does it cost to live in Budapest?

Live in Budapest is a bit cheaper than in Western European countries. The meal can be solved in little money, the clothing and accessories are available at a good price.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Budapest? Is there any advice you can give?

I think It is better to search for an accomodation in the internet.
The prize depends on the location: a bit more expensive to live in Buda side, while live in Pest is cheaper. Advertisers usually can speak in english.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

There are a few places where you can eat fixed price much as you can. The restaurants have tolerable prices. There are many small restaurants where you can eat special Hungarian dishes: loaded potato, stuffed cabbage and many kinds of good quality wine as well.

What places would you recommend visiting in Budapest?

neo-Gothic Parliament, Saint Stephen's Basilica, the Aquincum Museum, The Castle Hill and the Castle District (Royal Palace, National Széchenyi Library, official residence of the President of Hungary, Matthias Church, tha Fisherman's Bastion), the River Danube embankments and the whole of Andrássy út, Heroes' Square, Museum of Fine Arts and the Kunsthalle Budapest, City Park, Vajdahunyad Castle. Hungarian State Opera House, Statue Park, Széchenyi Medicinal Bath, Margit Island

Is it good to eat out in Budapest? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

The Hungarian cuisine and café culture: for example, Gerbeaud Café, and the Százéves, Biarritz, Fortuna, Alabárdos, Arany Szarvas, Kárpátia and the world famous Mátyás Pince Restaurants.

Is the nightlife good in Budapest? Where is good to go?

Cultural entertainment opportunities: Hungarian folk dance, the Budapest Operetta and Musical Theatre, the József Attila Theatre, the Katona József Theatre, the Madách Theatre, the Hungarian State Opera House, the National Theatre, the Vigadó, Radnóti Miklós Theatre and the Comedy Theatre.
If we mention cultural events, Hungary's the largest outdoor festival is the Sziget Festival, which is really popular in all over Europe, as well. Other major events: Budapest Spring Festival, Budapest Autumn Festival, the Budapest Wine Festival and the Budapest Pálinka Festival.
There are so many discos, for example A38, Zöld Pardon.

What advice would you give future students heading to Budapest?

You should crawl across the city: buses, trams and metros to can help you to find out all the beautiful places, which is more than a hundred. The academic life bearable, many English language courses are available.
