What is it like to live in Budapest? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It is good to live in Budapest, there are many universities, the city has a beautiful location where the river, mountains and plain meet.

What is the student lifestyle like in Budapest?

It is good, almost all the universities in downtown, there are good public libraries, and from evening to dawn street are full of life, and with students having fun.

How much does it cost to live in Budapest?

It is cheaper than the averge European capital city. A one-room flat rent is about 30000-60000 Hungarian forints.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Budapest? Is there any advice you can give?

It is not to find one, but to find a good one you must be caretaking.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

There are many cafeterias at every university, and lot of fast food restaurant of chinese and arab, turkish etc. I prefer gyros.

What places would you recommend visiting in Budapest?

I recommed the Parliament and its neigbourhood, the Buda Castle, the National Museum and the Museum of Fine Arts, the banks of the Danube, Gellért Hill, Andrássy avenue, Hungarian State Opera, and just walking around in the inner districts.

Is it good to eat out in Budapest? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes, there many restaurant from the cheapest to luxury, from homely to fancy, hungarian and of other nationalities. For example there is a pizzeria in Király street where a slice is 200 forints.

Is the nightlife good in Budapest? Where is good to go?

Yes, the best, there the famous ruin pubs, but there are many other places to dance, or just drink, mainly in 7th district, but everywhere is too.

What advice would you give future students heading to Budapest?

I would advice that don't be scared of the burocratic system, at first it seems too bad, but they are helpful.
if they want to experience a differnt way of life, come to study to Budapest.
