Experience in Budapest, Hungary by Al-Kassas
What is it like to live in Budapest? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
I would recommend it to everybody! I visited a few capitals, but I can tell that among all of them Budapest is the most beautiful for me. You can' t find the Eiffel Tower or The Coliseum, but you can find beautiful old buildings, castles, parks, bars and restaurants and above all of that I think is on of the cleanest capital in Europe!
What is the student lifestyle like in Budapest?
I can' t tell that, I wasn't a student there, but as I heard it's quite awesome!
How much does it cost to live in Budapest?
I think you can manage your living expenses around 300 euro, without rental, I didn't have to pay for a flat that's why I don't know.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Budapest? Is there any advice you can give?
No! The flats are not so modern, but the student dorms are well equipped, especially for Erasmus students!
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
I love the food! Maybe because I am hungarian too, but living in Transylvania!
I think my favourite is gulyas, stuffed cabbage and their sweets are very good, for ex. Somloi Galuska!
