Why did you choose to go to Budapest, Hungary?

When you think about studying abroad, one of the most important questions is the quality of the universities. Since, Budapest has many high-standard institutions of higher education and a broad array of qualifications are recognized in the European Union and elsewhere, I truly believe that Budapest it is one of the best choices for spending one or two semesters studying abroad.

Budapest it’s a well-worn path with plenty of help when you need it. It’s also a very international city, so you can meet people from all over the world, as well as, most likely, people from your own country or city. Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Budapest?

Making friends at uni or at popular places like Szimpla Kert, Instant and Fogas Ház is a given. On warm days you’ll find plenty of young people gathering for picnics or a sun-baking session at Margaret Island and City Park, but for hanging out at nights are recommended places like Morrison, Instant, Hellobaby, etc.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Budapest?

1 - Frici papa kifőzdéje in 1077 Budapest, Király utca 55

2 - Bangla Büfé in 40 Akácfa Street

3 - LEVES in 1053 Budapest, Vámház körút 14 etc

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Iconic sights include the Buda Castle, the Hungarian Parliament, St. Stephen’s Basilica, Heroes’ Square, famous thermal baths, and the winding streets of the Jewish District. The city’s cultural life is thriving with the opera, theatre, festivals, craft markets, traditional events and ceremonies for national holidays regularly taking place.
