Why did you choose to go to Budapest, Hungary?

Because everybody talked very well about this city.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

In my case I was in Budapest just for one semester from September to January. I have received 300 euros.

What is the student lifestyle like in Budapest?

There are a lot of parties here, you can go out everyday but they go out between 7-9 p. m. and come back home between 1-3 a. m.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Budapest to other students?

Yes, I do. Budapest is a very big city, but you can do so many things, there is always something to do.

What is the food like?

In Budapest you can find everything. You have McDonald's, KFC, Burger King, etc., and also you have typically hungarian food. Most of the dishes have potatoes, beef is very typical and also the paprika, a spicy one.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Budapest?

I found my accommodation on Facebook and it was quite easy.

How much does it cost to live in Budapest?

It is cheaper than Spain, but not so much. You will notice it when you go out or when you have lunch... but not in supermarkets.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The language is really complicated. You'll only understand "thank you", "hello", "bye" and "sorry". In my university there wasn't but in others there are some course available.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Budapest from your city?

The airplane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Budapest?

Szimpla, Hello baby, Instant or Fogas.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Budapest?

Paprika in Heroes Square.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Too many: the Parliament, Heroes Square, museums, Buda side, central market, Margaret Island. .

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Budapest in the future?

Be careful with your belongings, it's very easy to be stolen. There are too many homeless but they aren't dangerous. And you'll be in Central Europe, travel everywhere you can.
