Why did you choose to go to Budapest, Hungary?

Recommendation from student who already had been here. Good decision regarding study courses.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

It's calculated for the whole time being here. It's about 500 Eur. I personally need more to live here.

What is the student lifestyle like in Budapest?

They party a lot.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Budapest to other students?

Yes definately, everybodys very friendly regarding students and professors. Though the other locals don't really speak english, kinda at all, only some.

What is the food like?

There are a lot of fast food facilities everywhere. The food is good.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Budapest?

It didn't cost to find them but you have to pay like ensurance money, qute a lot, before comming.

How much does it cost to live in Budapest?

600 to 700 Eur at least.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The language is really different from all I've heard and quite hard. There are courses available.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Budapest from your city?

Probably by bus.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Budapest?

Any pub on the main street is quite good, Lampas bar is a nice spot. For clubs I'd say Corvin club, you can get on the roof.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Budapest?

Cant really say.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Most famous Heroe square zoo near by it, Gellert hill has amazing view of the city, Margaret island.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Budapest in the future?

Be prepared for some chill attitude towards important documents and some confusion with the coordinators. And the staff of public transport dont speak english and you always must have the papers with you and the right ones at that to confirm you are a student or eles - play fines.
