Why did you choose to go to Budapest, Hungary?

Because I never came to the eastern part of Europe and I was really interested in discovering a new place.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

It's 10 month long, and I get 335€ to cover the costs.

What is the student lifestyle like in Budapest?

It's amazing! You can go out all the time, there is always a party to go to, prices are really low when coming from ie Germany/France, the city offers a lot of cultural entertainment.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Budapest to other students?

I would absolutely recommend the city, but the university (ELTE Faculty of social sciences) is really not that good. It's great in the sense that I don't have to do a lot compared to my hoe university, so it's more like a "holiday" semester, but especially the organisation of the university is not only a mess but very shameful...

What is the food like?

Great!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Budapest?

No.

How much does it cost to live in Budapest?

Depends, but I think I need around 500€/month more or less.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

No, it's quite difficult to learn but language courses from university are offered, which are quite good.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Budapest from your city?

I came by car, so I don't know.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Budapest?

Jewish district, there are plenty of bars, restaurants and clubs.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Budapest?

For Sale Pub, Rapasz, Club 93

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Museums (plenty), exhibitions, it really depends but there is a lot offered
