Why did you choose to go to Budapest, Hungary?
Because Budapest is a very beautiful city with a nice architecture. Also It's university is very good.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
It is 5 months. I receive 200 extra euros.
What is the student lifestyle like in Budapest?
Here, the students love having fun, organising trips, make excursions and drink a lot.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Budapest to other students?
Of course! I have already done it. It would be a very good idea to visit it and of course to study at this university as it is the best of Hungary.
What is the food like?
I don't like so much Hungarian food. It is not so tasty. The good thing is that you can find good and cheap food.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Budapest?
No, it was easy as I found it from a website on Internet.
How much does it cost to live in Budapest?
I spend a lot at buying ingrediants for cooking and I spend around 80. 000Ft but I believe that you can live with much less.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Actually, I am studing Hungarian at the university because I like to learn foreign language. I like it and I don't find it as difficult as they describe it.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Budapest from your city?
By airplane.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Budapest?
I don't like the clubs that mnuch but I would recommend Kiraly utca.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Budapest?
I like an Italian restaurant very much Va piano. It is self service but it is tasty and cheap. Also, Vian Cafe would be a very good option for desserts.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Fisherman towr, Parliament, Margaret Island, the central market hall, etc.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Budapest in the future?
Try to visit not only other countries but also Hungary except from Budapest. I visited the villages of Danube and they are fantastic!
