Why did you choose to go to Budapest, Hungary?

Because of my research

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I am staying for one month and received 100000 Ft.

What is the student lifestyle like in Budapest?

I don't know yet from experience, but I've seen a lot of students partying, having fun or organising events for other students

Would you recommend the city and the University of Budapest to other students?

Definitely

What is the food like?

The same as anywhere

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Budapest?

It was quite a quest to synchronize the price and the place where to live

The accomodation I stay at is 200€ per month

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Hungarian language is pretty hard as it isn't connected to any other language groups of european languages (maybe except Slovak in some words). There are language courses available but only for a longer period of time, not for one month

For me it was train, because I came from Banská Bystrica, Slovakia

I really don't know yet

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Budapest?

There are plenty of restaurants literally on every corner, so it is up to you where you decide to fill your stomach

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Well, there are a lots of cultural sites everywhere. For me, as a student of history, the whole city is a cultural site. But you should definitely go see the Buda castle

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Budapest in the future?

Just enjoy yourself :)
