Why did you choose to go to Budapest, Hungary?
I got Stipendium Hungaricum, Hungarian government scholarship.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
Scholarship lasts 12 months. I receive 130 euro for living costs and 130 euro for accommodation. Scholarship provides also health insurance and cover tuition fee.
What is the student lifestyle like in Budapest?
Great! Student organizations organize various events, such as hiking, pub crawls, exploring the city, projection of movies, etc. Night life is great. Libraries are amazing. I love how they take care of sport and running culture. I do not like accommodation in dormitories.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Budapest to other students?
Definetely!
What is the food like?
Strong and spicy.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Budapest?
No.
How much does it cost to live in Budapest?
Around 250 for decent student life ( accommodation cost is not included)
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Hungarian language is one of the hardiest languages. My University provides Hungarian language courses, that are free only for Erasmus students. Fee is 50 euros for semester.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Budapest from your city?
