My friend adviced me because he already spent one year in this city.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
5 months. I received 430 € per month.
What is the student lifestyle like in Budapest?
A little bit of study, a lot of parties and fun.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Budapest to other students?
Yes of course!
What is the food like?
Hungarian food is tasty but fat. Typical food to try are goulash soup, langos, dobos cake.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Budapest?
I found some flatmastes via erasmusu and then we find together a flat.
How much does it cost to live in Budapest?
380 for rental fee and stuff plus 200/300 to live.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
The Hungarian is one of the most difficult language in the world. But people in offices shop and restaurants speak English so is not a problem.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Budapest from your city?
Plane.
