Why did you choose to go to Budapest, Hungary?

I had to carried out an internship for 3 months at the BME University and my Engineering school has a partnership with the BME.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

For 3 months I recieved 1200 euros and it was so good to help me for the accommodation and the life at Budapest.

What is the student lifestyle like in Budapest?

The internship was during the summer break so we were practicly alone on the campus. But it seems to have a good student life. There are erasmus party every week at the Morisson Opera !

Would you recommend the city and the University of Budapest to other students?

Yes definitively. Beautiful city and always something to do. Great night life !

What is the food like?

It's kind of heavy but during the winter may be useful :)

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Budapest?

We were 4 and we took a flat. You have to take care of the accommodation quickly to have the better choice but it's quite easy to find one

How much does it cost to live in Budapest?

I think we dispend approximatively 100 € (so 500 € with the scholarship per month) and we were partying a lot :)

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available in the University?

Hungarian is quite difficult. But courses are available in English, German, some French ...

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Budapest from your city?

By plane

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Budapest?

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The citadella, thermal baths (Szechenyi and Palatinus), Margit, Many Museums ...

Is there any other advice that you could give to future students who are going to Budapest?

Just enjoy the city and the poeple !
