Best burger in Budapest
Okay so yes I know I have been MIA for the longest time and I'm sorry truly, I have so much content to be written but I get no time to write and edit them; Medical school is truly the death of me. Anyways I also wrote this whole piece but I forgot to save it and my computer restarted and..., that really pissed me off and I couldn't bear to write anything anymore. But I try to at least write some stuff on weekends but for today I have a really special piece! Okay, so I didn't even think I'd ever say this but I found the best burger in Budapest and it's amazing, awesome, fantastic and probably every other good and positive adjective in the English language. So it was a typical Friday afternoon, I was done with classes, and we headed to this café (I'll write about it later). Afterwards it was snowing, and so we were desperate to find a new place and seek refugee in it; also Budapest has been crazy cold recently, to the point of me going crazy over the cold. Anyways my friend suggested that we go and eat something, and so we headed towards there, I had never been there despite it being like 300 meters from my house.
The place will shock you a bit, it's tiny but cozy and it's not somewhere fancy that you would expect from the "best Budapest burgers"; but that's what my friend told me and well I believed him. We went inside and the person working there was more than friendly, he came to our table handed us the menu and asked what we wanted to drink, we got raspberry sodas, they only had beer and coke; the cute thing was that the menu was so decluttered that it wouldn't take more than two mins for you to choose what you want to eat; they had only one type of burger with different toppings, the toppings were cheese, bacon and cheese and vegan burger if I'm not mistaken. I will post the one-page menu here so you can see for yourselves.
They make all of their burgers medium rare and I really don't like my burgers medium rare, so I asked mine to be well done, and he said that it'll cost extra (a little odd but I didn't mind); the burgers were ready after about 15 minutes, and they came with a little of salad and some fries, oh man it looked so good that I barely resisted to wait and take a picture.
The first bite and oh man, it was so tender and juicy it could melt in your mouth, you all know I'm not the biggest meat lover but I could eat this any day man, ugh it was so good that right now even though I am full my mouth is watering. It had this special sauce on top of it which made the whole burger special and that's what I loved the most, it was something between ranch and burger sauce, you have to try it to know it. The portion wasn't too large but it is pretty filling and most importantly fulfilling, man oh man how I want to go and have another one right now.
(Our burgers)
Basically, I would give this place a 9 out of 10, the prices are slightly more expensive than normal burgers, they range from 9 to 11 euros but then again it's completely worth it so why not? The price in forints was about 3200 forints, for a well done burger with a raspberry soda.
The exact address is this: Budapest, Wesselényi u. 35, 1075
Let me know if you do get to try it out and what you think of it. I hope that you find it as good as I found it. I'm sorry that I have been gone lately, my schedule is jam packed but I'm going to write as much as I can.
Cheers
