Bristol

Bristol was without a doubt one of the cities that surprised me the most out of all of the cities that I visited during my Erasmus year. It is in the South West of England, very close to the Welsh border.

There are a lot of university students in Bristol (there are two universities), it is a city with a young atmosphere and there are a lot of different leisure activities, cultural events, etc., directed at students.

One of the things that Bristol is known for is that it is the home of the famous British artist, Banksy. In fact, you can often find his work displayed on walls throughout the city. Bristol museum also sometimes exhibits some of the work of this well-known urban artist.
