Enterprise beach in Barbados, also called the Miami beach, is situated on the south coast of the Barbados island, close to Oistins. If you want to go to this beach by bus, simply get off the bus at Oistins and you will see the sign that says 'Enterprise beach – public access'. This is the most popular beach among local people, and local families often come there on weekends to have picnics there. If you are there by yourself, they will maybe also ask you if you want to join them. And that is how you will hear some great local stories.
There is a free wifi at the beach, and a yellow van that sells hot dogs, hamburgers and other snacks, and various cold drinks, including a great fresh lemonade. There are also tables and chairs in front of the van, and if you walk along the beach, you will find more picnic tables. Occassionally, you will also find local vendors on the beach, selling fresh coconut water.
This beach has plenty of flamboyant trees all around, and they smell really nice. Although the waves on the beach can be a bit rough, it is still a great place with plenty of shadow and cliffs on the left hand side of the beach. There is also a place to play beach volley, and you will see a lot of local people, playing dominoes, which is like a national sport for lazy people in Barbados (that is what they say).
