My time working in Italy

I have had the immense pleasure to work at the Istituto Comprensivo di Gussago for the past year of my degree. The Institute is a combined school system running a programme for English natives. I was asked to teach those aged 5-11 at two of the primary schools, for which I was commended by my two managers  

I was chosen for this programme based on my previous work in  primary school, and my time in Nanjing as an English Language Teacher. 

As it was a one-year contract, I was given the chance to live in a host family, teaching English not only at work  but at home, too. It was a wonderful experience, and I have grown to love my two host families as if they were my own. 

I was humbled by this experience, especially considering it was not the natural option for a business studies student! I shall look back on my time in Gussago fondly, and aim to visit my two host families as soon as I can.
