What is it like to live in Boulder? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Boulder is a small town, that's mostly students. It's an amazing place, just under the flat irons, with the most vivid view of the mountains.

What is the student lifestyle like in Boulder?

Since 30K of the 100K residents are students and the non-student residents often leave town during school year, it feels like a city that's both on the go and calm.

How much does it cost to live in Boulder?

Boulder can be an expensive place. There are cheaper places to eat, especially during happy hours. But living can be around $1000 per month.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Boulder? Is there any advice you can give?

Yes and No. If you have a small budget, it can be difficult. But if you find other students to room with, you can manage. There are agencies that can help you find housing. Go were the students go, and you'll find cheaper things, if you have small budget.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Lots of amazing food. Boulder is the town in Colorado where organic and local food is on high preference. There are smaller number of Asian/African/Latin American/Authentic European restaurants, but the few that are there are really good, and serve to the city's standards.

What places would you recommend visiting in Boulder?

Lots of great places. If you love to hike, and if you love to do outdoor sports, you're exactly in the right place.

Is it good to eat out in Boulder? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes. Happy hour can reduce the price for students or those looking to spend less. A few years ago, they opened Yellow Deli in Boulder. They have really great food.

Is the nightlife good in Boulder? Where is good to go?

Yes, especially for students, around student areas. However, if you want just a night out, because it's a smaller town, places and transportation start to close around 9 or 10.

What advice would you give future students heading to Boulder?

Hike a lot and touch the mountains!
