Why did you choose to go to Bordeaux, France?

The closness to the sea and the good quality in the field of Neurosciences research

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

The scholarship is 3 years and I get enough to cover my living costs

What is the student lifestyle like in Bordeaux?

It's a nice experience where you can really enjoy the French culture and habits. Bordeaux has also plenty of students coming from different regions in France and in Europe because of research or University

Would you recommend the city and the University of Bordeaux to other students?

Yes I would but maybe for short time periods because the city is small

What is the food like?

It's delicious, specially the cheese and the wine. They also have great meat and great sea food

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Bordeaux?

It can be difficult so make sure you plan it ahead

How much does it cost to live in Bordeaux?

Per month approx 550e including everything

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes there are courses for international students in French. I guess it really depends where do you come from. But understanding French is not that difficult for southern European countries. Indeed it is a beautiful language more than German or Dutch

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Bordeaux from your city?

By bus or car

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Bordeaux?

The cathedral, the Museum d'aquitaine, Cite du vine, La Bourse, St Michel...

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Bordeaux in the future?

The girls are really pretty here. The guys I am not that sure...
