Why did you choose to go to Bordeaux, France?

I want to go to the city where it's famous for wine and experience something different than what I can experience in Paris

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

3.5 months
I received a little over 1000euros
Which I used all in my rent in Bordeaux , I live very far from Bordeaux in a small town called Blanquefort so the rent is comparatively cheaper

What is the student lifestyle like in Bordeaux?

Quite relaxing but school work was heavy

Would you recommend the city and the University of Bordeaux to other students?

Definitely, Bordeaux is a lovely city and the wine is really good
But I would recommend to students who speak French or at least some French because it is very difficult to find accommodation if you do not speak the language well enough
It was not a pleasant experience for me when I tried to find mine.

What is the food like?

You can find a wide range of cuisine in Bordeaux and it was really nice and delicious

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Bordeaux?

It costed me quite some money before I can find an accommodation in Bordeaux and for a student who doesn't speak French , it was not easy at all

How much does it cost to live in Bordeaux?

I would say 700 euros per month

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The language is not easy for me. The language teacher is a nice teacher but the school didn't organize it well

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Bordeaux from your city?

I traveled to Bordeaux from Germany you can fly directly from Berlin to Bordeaux
It was not an option for me when I traveled there was not direct flight then

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Bordeaux?

Centeral Bordaux has lots of nice restaurants bars and pubs

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Bordeaux?

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Grand theatre , Quinconces, you can travel to St. Emilion, etc
