Discovering local community
While discovering what our beautiful city Bordeaux has to offer us we came across the local neighborhood community house with a variety of courses. As we all know erasmus is for trying things we always wanted to, but never had a chance- so we chose painting classes. The ambiance there was great, mostly due to the people who participated. There was a local confectioner who brought a different, delicious pastry to every class, a young boy who prefered to spend time painting rather than playing football with his collegues, an old men who suffered from autism, but calmed down while drawing egiptian pyramides and many more. We took several trips with them to enjoy the local art collections prepared by the former art students. Not only I learned how to draw, ate a lot of cookies, tested some delicious wine during art exhibitions, but most of all- made great friends whom I can always visit. So the moral is- during your erasmus see what the local community bas to offer you!
