Bolzano, Italy

Bolzano is a beautiful town surrounded by the mountains in the region of South Tyrol in the Italian Alps. This city has an ancient history which was influenced by several empires including Bavarians, Roman Empire and Holy Roman Empire. Due to this reason, this city is enriched with lot of churches and ancient castles which are on the mountains.

The major source of income of this city is tourism and agriculture. Since this province mostly base on agriculture you can see lot of small farms and “Agriturismo” which defines as farmhouse in English. In agriturismo, they offer restaurant and accommodation facilities for travellers for a reasonable price apart from maintaining their farms. Normally their service is good and the foods they offer are very tasty.

I have spent few days in several agriturismo in Bolzano. It was an amazing experience for me. They offered fresh milk to drink in the morning, which was taken from their cows of the farm. it was a nice experience for me. Along with that they offered different types of homemade jam and sweets for the breakfast.

They allowed us to visit their farm and provided all the details about the animals and operational activities. People in this area are very kind and do not hesitate to share the details with others.

In summer, this is an amazing place to enjoy sight sceneries, hiking, climbing, cycling and nature walks, if you are nature lover this is the best place for you to enjoy your summer vacation.

I have been in this place in both summer and winter periods. During the winter season, it is so cold and you can enjoy snow in this city. You can enjoy winter activities and snow games if you go there in January and February. But my advice is to check the period which is going to have snow falls since it varies from year to year.

• Puez-Geisler Nature Park – One of the best places I could enjoy outdoor activities in summer.

• Guntschna walk – Amazing place for walk in a foot path and discover the beauty.
• Duomo di Bolzano
• Monumento della Vittoria - Arch is dedicated to the fallen soldiers of World War I.
