AAUW: International Graduate Scholarships for Women

Thanks to the American Association of University Women, the AAUW, thousands of women have the opportunity to continue their postgraduate studies in the United States from all over the world. If your dream has always been to study at a prestigious US university, this association offers scholarships only for women who want to study in the United States.

The amount of the scholarship may vary depending on the programme for which you apply: $18,000 for a master's degree fellowship, $20,000 for a doctoral fellowship and $30,000 for a post-doctoral fellowship.

What are the requirements?

• Not be a US resident
• Be a graduate no later than the year of application; to apply for this scholarship, you must have successfully completed your undergraduate degree.
• Demonstrate your intention to return after the end of the fellowship.
• High level of English.
• Be studying on a full-time basis, students undertaking a part-time study programme are not eligible.

Generation Google: scholarships for women engineers and computer scientists

After the Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship or the Women Techmakers Scholarship, Google has launched its new Generation Google Scholarship. These Google Scholarships for women in tech are aimed at women who are eager to learn and further expand their knowledge in the field of Computer Science.

Among the Generation Google Scholarships, you can choose between the scholarship for women in Computer Science, the scholarship for women in Computer Science in Ireland, or the scholarship for women in gaming, with Stadia as the main sponsor.

This scholarship addresses aspiring computer scientists women excel in technology who demonstrate a spirit of leadership and entrepreneurship. Google awards financial support of €7,000 to undergraduate, master's or doctoral students who decide to undertake their studies at one of the universities recognised by the programme abroad, either in Europe, Africa or in Middle Eastern countries.

The requirements to apply for this scholarship are:

• Be enrolled for the academic year 2021-2022 as an undergraduate or graduate student at a university.
• Intend to enrol as a full-time student in an undergraduate, master's or doctoral programme at an accredited university in Europe, the Middle East or Africa for the academic year 2022-2023.
• Study Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field of study.
• Have an outstanding and strong academic record.
• Have ambition and demonstrate your motivation for wanting to represent a minority group.
