  • Västerlanggatan

    It is one of the main streets that goes to Gamla Stan. We can find it after the Parliament. Its charm is based on the stones and also it is very nice because of the dozens of tourist that visit it every day.

  • The Nobel Museum

    Is one of the best museums in Stocholm where we can improve our knowledge about this prize. It is located in the main Square of Gamla Stan, on the other side of the colour houses. The visit is not for free but anyway it is worth it.

  • Where? in Gamla, of course

    Can you recognize this place? it is a beautiful part of Gamla Stan, but it is true that maybe is a little bit lost but if you walk around the old city, im sure you can find it. It is a good place to sitting down and relax.

  • Old telephone box

    It is not as famous as in London but Stockholm has many old telephone boxes as you can see in the picture. Most of them still working. I recommend you to take a picture, it is worth it!

    It is Winter. It is Stockholm. It is Gamla Stan. It is Christmas time. It is, of course, the capital of Scandinavia. In this way is shown the main square of Gamla Stan with its Christmas Market that is there every year at the same time.

    The sculpture that I show is a replica of that found in the interior of the Cathedral of Stockholm. As you may have guessed is the battle of St. George and the Dragon. Originates from the year 1489 and is one of the required tourist stops in Stockholm.

    As you can see in this picture the sculpture is really small. The picture was taken in Christmas time and he wears a snow hat and a scarf. It is very, very nice, isn´t it?

    In this picture you can see Järnpojken without hat and you can realize about the detail i told you before. His head is shining because people put their hand over it in order to come back to Stockholm.

    People usually put some coins near Järnpojken and in this moment you can see an apple. Maybe somebody thinks that it means good luck. Each time i visit Járnpojken im most surprised because people made some clothes to him. Surprising but nice sculpture.

    Duration: 30 minutes Location: Slussen It is very close to Slussen station. It is a steel bridge known as Gondolen. The strange thing is that we can find a thermometer in the upper part which temperature governing the city.

    Another curiosity is that the gondolen is one of the highest sightseeing points in the city of Stockholm. From there you can see one of the best views of the harbor, nearby islands and especially Gamla Stan.

  • Most beautiful Gondolen: Christmas time

    Christmas time is one of the best moment to visit Gondolen and to see the city full of snow. I remember that day with -14 degrees in the up of Gondolen. It was so difficult even to take pictures but it was worth it to see Stockholm in that way. What do you think?

  • The wall of the fame in Stockholm

    It is a strange costume my friends and me have. We have identification sticks that represent our village. When we travel, we bring them with us and we put them in famous places in different cities. Here was in Stockholm, of course, in Gondolen.
