What is it like to live in Bielefeld? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Bielefeld is the city I grew up and the city I will always come back to, not only because my family lives there, but because Bielefeld as a lot of things to offer! You have a lot of green spaces right in the middle of the city with a medieval castle. In addition you can do awesome clothes shopping which you wouldn't expect but my city used to be a big city for clothing production.. we also have lots of really interesting companies in Bielefeld such as Schüco (Windows) Miele (washing machines) Seidensticker (blouses) Alcina (cosmetics) Dr. Oetker (Food&Beverages) Bertelsmann...

What is the student lifestyle like in Bielefeld?

We have a GREAT party scene... lots of clubs and bars then eat are "Elephant" and "Cafe Europa".

How much does it cost to live in Bielefeld?

It is pretty cheap! you can have you own apartment 50m2 2 rooms ofr +-400 in the citycentre.

the food is great! typical thing for our region is "Pickert" which is like a potato pancake...

Yes! go to NUMA, Nichtschwimmer, Bernstein(Rooftoprestaurant, bar, Lounge, great for brunch(reservations necessary))
