Mustafa's Kebap
This is the exact opposite of my last piece, the last piece was an expensive high class hotel where as this one is a cheap and low class döner place; but don't be quick to judge, this place is one of the most famous döner places in all of Berlin such a way that people always line up for it for hours; it's crazy how famous Mustafa's little shop is. We went there twice during my stay, once literally right after Ritz Carlton, which was pretty funny, walking the in rain with our high heels and then ending up in the line for a döner while it rained for crazy was my idea of a perfect night really.
Okay so Mustafa's döners, what is all the hype with them? why are they so famous? I kept asking my friend the very same questions and well I can answer them now to you guys in a very easy manner, because it's cheap as hell and delicious as hell. That's it, I mean it's so affordable, even the most broke person can buy it and it's so filling and delicious that you feel like you just treated yourself with a 5 star meal; what more could you possibly want?
You can actually google "Mustafa's Gemuse Kebap" and see all the raving reviews, the exact address is: Mehringdamm 32, 10961 Berlin, Germany. There is a metro station right next to it, by the same name of the street, it's an U-Bahn station called "Mehringdamm", once out of the metro station you just need to cross the street and you will see the small little shop and smell all the joy.
The döners are priced at 3. 50 Euros, which if you see the size of the döner, you will understand why this place is crazy famous, I mean it has got the quantity and the quality which makes sense I mean it's the whole package. Okay I know I'm talking about a döner this passionately and that's really weird but trust me it's so good that I still dream about it sometimes.
Anyways they have a sandwich type and a döner type, we got the döner both times but you can get the sandwich one and see which one is better for yourself. And both times we went pretty late at night and so the line was pretty sure, maximum we had to wait like 15 minutes, oh also they have these yogurt drinks, we Persians also have it and it's amazing you really need to try it. So the döner is like 3. 50 Euros and the Drink is like 1. 60 Euros, with just a little more than 5 Euros you can have a proper meal there. How great I know!
Here's a picture of the döners but I don't take responsibility for your mouths watering okay? we went with our friends here and they were like you aren't a true Berliner if you haven't tried this. I mean yes there are other döner shops, some are even cheaper but this is just something else and is not to be missed.
(oh god, my mouth is watering just by looking at it)
I hope you take my advice and you try it out, let me know what you think
Cheers!
